But the night wasn’t over yet...
But the night wasn’t over yet....
But the night wasn’t over yet...
Not all plans work as we wish them to. As generally in every fairy tale there is some villain, this isn’t any fairy tale but we were neither an exception.
We did sleep at around 1.15, but got up again by 2.30. There was just a loud bang and power was gone. Both of us got up due to that bang, went out and found that there was short circuit in the nearby transformer. We went back to our beds, but then I came out after rolling over the bed for about 15-20 mins. No power and high humidity killed me, I was unable to sleep. I knocked lightly at her room just to check if she was sleeping or not. There wasn’t any response. I went upstairs to terrace and found out that she was strolling there. WOW… She looked beautiful under the cloudy sky in dim moon light. It was complete dark and silent not even the rustling of trees as the air was still, but as of still air there were a few mosquitoes. On only way to get rid of them was to walk continuously and use hands every couple of minutes to shoo them away. We tried to walk but were too tired to walk for long. I suggested going out for a long drive, she agreed. So around 3.15 we went out for a drive on NH 8 towards Delhi… After driving for about 15-20 mins I felt like sleeping, perhaps my eyes were closed just for a couple of seconds and were suddenly open with her scream, “Sho!!!!!! dekh kar…”. I was about to bump the car into the truck moving ahead… Luckily I applied break and we just managed to avoid that accident. After this I was wide awake, but still she insisted to take the driving seat. I said NO and we took a U-turn from next cut and stop by the nearest dhaba/restaurant where I washed my face. At around 4 we were back to our home. The transformer wasn’t up yet and the air was still, so we decided to switch on the AC and take an hour nap in the car only.
Morning 6 O’clock
Someone was patting on the window door. I opened my eyes and found Bhaiya to be standing there… with a question mark expression on his face.
Without even realizing that she was on adjacent seat, I said Hi Bhaiya.
In order to check the time I checked the cell found out that it was not my cell, my cell was in the room, it was her cell and the moment I realized that she was right beside me sitting wearing one of my night suits.. I was wide awake...
