The Journey Concludes

27-28th Dec 2008
The journey concludes

And before she could have said anything we heard rustling of curtains and found them moving and then a shrill voice. “Saar dinner, dinner lenge”.

I just said No but then Montu got up and asked him… “Veg mei kya hai?”
Vendor: Two options: North Indian mei Parontha, Alu Sabji, Dal and Plain rice and South Indian mei Sambhar, Lemon Rice, Idli and coconut chatney hoga ji
Montu: ek South Indian thali laana. The vendor looked at our side with a question mark and we all said no.

By now Binnu was also up and came down while Montu was discussing about order... when the vendor was gone, we (me and Binnu) with question mark on our face were looking Montu as in how come a guy who hated south Indian food since we know him is specially asking for south Indian food… and specially when we have home cooked food that Sia brought for us.

He just smiled and kept it unanswered… (The question is still unanswered)

With every passing moment the astonishing trip was going for the end. Binnu left us at Chennai Station he had some official work over there, then Montu had connecting train from Nagpur so he left us at .

Next day night at 12 all of sudden both of us got up, on looking outside we realized that it was Agra Cantt. We quickly gathered our stuff and  jumped out of the train, so that we can get bus to Jaipur from here only and save almost 4-5 hours.

Well... luckily we got seats in the deluxe bus and well what an amazing journey it was....
Lights off.....all dark in the bus.... people sleeping.... 2 people wide awake... covered by a blanket...... with their hands wrapped around each other... hugging tightly...... releasing warm breath at neck.... biting ear lobes..... lips teasing each other......................and.........................

and we didn't realize when slept in each others arms..

and then all of sudden I got up.... found out that we were outskirts of Jaipur..... its still dark out there.... I woke her up.... we adjusted ourselves and then slept again just to get up at Jaipur bus stand..

And The Train Journey Starts

26th Dec 2008, Pt II
The train Journey Starts

Around 4 Sia messaged me that they were about to reach the station, we also decided to go to station rather than wondering here and there in the city. Our driver finally dropped us to the station and took leave for the final time.
The train departed at 5 and our return journey started. We talked for a while and after some time Binnu and Montu took upper most seats, leaving both of us as other two seats in our compartment were empty.
We sat with our arms around each other and started talking. I told her about the trip in detail, told her about how much I missed her during the trip, how I wished her to be with me at many places, be it while passing through the Tea gardens in Munnar or the night safari in Periyar or the soothing and relaxing house boat in Alleppy. With her head on my shoulder and eyes closed, she was so keenly listening to me that for a moment I wondered whether she asleep. I stopped for a moment and was just looking at her, and was about to kiss her on her forehead and all of sudden she opened her eyes and turned to me and I ended up kissing her on her nose…

She: Jaanu kya hua chup kyo ho gaye…
Me: Arre mujhe laga ki so gayi…
She: Arre soyi nahi kho gayi thi… u know what.. when I closed my eyes to maine dekha ki hum dono saath saath ghoom rahe the… kabhi Munnar k Tea gardens mei kabhi Periyar mei raat mei jab maine kissi janwar ki avaaz sun kar tumhara haath bahoot tight pakad liya tha that it hurt u a bit… kabhi alleppy mei house boat mei… I was everywhere with you jaanu.

I just smiled and was continuously staring at her…

She: Kya hua…
Me: Kuch nahi…
She: Kuch to hua hai jooth mat bolo… tumhari aakhien bata rahi hai kuch to hua hai…. Tumhari aankho mei sab kuch dikh raha hai…
Me: Hmmm kya dikh raha hai meri aakho mei???
She: Hmmmm Bahoooooot saara pyaar…. :-) ….

She just kissed me and turned away….

Me: Ahennn mera shona sharma gaya……

And before she could have said anything we heard rustling of curtains and found them moving and then a sharp voice. And before she could have said anything we heard rustling of curtains and found them moving and then a sharp voice.....

And leave you in ma arms...

26th Dec 08
....so that I can keep you hugging....

WOW!!! What an amazing night that was. Luckily we managed to get into our rooms without letting anyone know. Even though I got up at 6.30, I was there only in the last night moments. By that time Montu was ready and Binnu was about to be. I got ready quickly and after having breakfast we left at around 8.00 for Madurai. Luckily we managed to steal a few seconds to be with other when I excused myself to go inside to check the room if we forgot something while she was inside to get lunch for us and everyone else was out to see us off. For those few seconds we met, didn't say anything just hugged each other and I kissed her on forehead and said her goodbye for the time being just to see her soon.

Finally we left, even at that time the traffic was heavy but we managed to reach Madurai sometime around 10 AM, visited Meenakshi Temple, and other places. Sitting in the car and lost in the moments of last night, I composed a poem and sent her…
A poem or I would say a few lines from the last night’s moment….

They were wet and they were so soft,
Touching them made me aloft.

I was up there in the heaven,
When I have had the one

Oh my darling you don’t know,
Your kiss was like the rose in snow

Ur lips were as cold as the ice
That ignites a fire deep inside

The fire was to love u more n more n more
To kiss you more and to caress u more n more

The music being played in our hearts
To us it seemed very much perfect

With you in my arms
The world seems alright

That moment I felt the time to stop ticking
And leave you in ma arms... so that I can keep you hugging
And leave you in ma arms... so that I can keep you hugging....

and the smsing starts...

and the smsing starts...

“Kya hua??”
“Neend nahi aa rahi hai…”
“Mujhe bhi….”
………………
“Talking to binnu!! And montu, wo so gaya kya???”…
“Yes…… whats status there… Ankit so gaya???”
“Hmmm kabka…. Tabhi to tumhe msg kar rahi hu jaan…”

Seeing myself getting involved in the messaging, Binnu called her girlfriend Akku and started talking…
Messaging goes on and on for next 20 mins and then a 5 min break
Got her message at 12, “Sho … papa, mum n Ankit are fast asleep… terrace par aajao na… I wanna meet you”

Me: “Terrace par??? Arre kissi ne dekh liya, ya kissi ko pata lag gaya to raat ko hi ghar se bahar nikal denge….
Marwayegi kya”

She: “Arre sab gehri neend mei so rahe hai….. and ek baar sab so jaate hai to 2-3 baje se pehle to kissi ki neend bhi nahi khulegi… bhool gaye kya ki almost roz tumse raat 2-3 baje tak mei baat karti to thi jab tum Delhi mei the….. aajao I know koi nahi uthta hai ;-)”
Me: “Hmmm…. Ok chal fir aata hu”

Slowly without making any noise and informing Binnu (still on phone) I went to terrace….
The terrace door was open. The moment I entered she came and hugged me tightly. I was surprised for a couple of seconds and stood silent hugging her even more tightly for few seconds. Before I could say anything I realized that my shoulder was getting a little bit wet and then I heard some muffled crying sound.
She was crying… I was surprised.

Me: Sho kya hua???
She: ummm huuu… nothing kuch nahi hua
Me: then why are you crying??
She: arre m very very happy ki tum aaye and luckily wo traffic jam hua and you are here in front of me…. and m there in your arms…. Love you shona….
Me: Love you too shona….

And I kissed her to stop her crying… she responded back even more passionately. Didn’t know how long we kissed as after that we stood there with our eyes closed and her being in my arms, we were standing just moving our feet as if we were dancing on some soft romantic music which was being played in our hearts.

Then after some time we heard a couple of gongs…. I ignored that…. But then I’ve received a message. “O mere Romeo niche aaja, kaafi time ho gaya hai… ye to tujhe kal train mei bhi mil jaayegi….. pakda gaya to khud peetege aur hame bhi peetwayega ;-)”. I checked the time and was shocked….. It’s been 2 hours we’ve been standing in each other’s arms and we didn’t even realize it. I told her same and she smiled back and said “Jaanu… Jaane ka mann to nahi kar raha hai but shaayad jaana hi padega….. 2 baj gaye hai papa/mummy koi bhi kabhi bhi uth sakta hai. Aisa karna tum pehle jaana room mei pahunch jao to mujhe message kar dena fir mei aaungi…”

Me: ok…. But I need something….
She: what???
Me: A good night kiss

And then we kissed and departed to our own room…..

The Last Stoppage

Christmas day....

Left the houseboat around 11 and were on the road to Madurai, tomorrow evening from where we have train to our destination. Tomorrow one more friend will also be joining us on our return journey. Had our lunch at some midway on way back from Alleppy and by late afternoon we’ve reached to the hometown of that friend, Bodinayakanur, the place famous for cardamoms. We reached to the home, the family received us pretty well like we’ve been over there many a times. We relaxed over there for a few hours, roamed around with the friend and had the dinner with them at around 8. We had plans to leave in about an hour so that we can comfortably reach Madurai before midnight. That friend was supposed to come next day to Madurai and join us on our return trip.

But, when we were wrapping up after dinner uncle got a call from one of the assistants that he will visit him in morning or late morning as he is stuck in heavy traffic jam result of an accident on Madurai highway and was not sure when he’ll reach Bodinayakanur. Uncle informed us about the situation and said that leaving right now means only spending night in car only. Besides this we were also less interested in leaving as our driver was also tried as on drive during the day and we didn’t want to take risk of spending night in the car.

We were confused as what to do, and where to stay at night as the reason being it was Sia’s home and we were a little bit uncomfortable in spending the night over there. So we asked uncle if there is any hotel or lodge there where we can stay during the night. But to our surprise before uncle could’ve say anything aunty said, “Beta, tum log hamari Sia k dost ho, hamare mehmaan ho. Aur mehmaan ko hotel mei nahi ghar mei tehraya jaata hai.” And then uncle added, “Arre isse apna hi ghar samjho, feel comfortable and don’t worry sab adjust ho jaayega.”

Listening this we were happy (especially me) as I’ve got some more time to spent with her. Although there is a train journey ahead but still no matter how much time we got it remains less. After finalizing this we three decided to go out for a walk in the town to look the Christmas lighting in local market and churches. She and her younger brother Ankit too joined us after taking permission from their parents. Ankit was very much interested in latest gadgets and so is Montu. Knowing this I started the topic asking Ankit about his laptop and games that he have, and slowly Montu and Binnu took over the discussions, and I sidelined from the discussion.

Gradually we’ve divided in two groups as in Montu, Binnu and Ankit discussing the latest games and gadgets and me & Sia walking a few steps behind them with our hands in hand and talking about her stay at home. It was only 10 when we started and the town was deserted, so we walked in almost empty market for about 40-45 mins and then returned back to their place. By then it was almost 11 and our arrangement was done in the guest room.

11.15 - everyone went to their room wishing each other good night.

11.30 - Montu was fast asleep and snoring whereas me and Binnu were generally talking.

11.35 – I got a message, “Shona, so gaye kya?? Kya kar rahe ho????” I replied “No. talking to binnu” and then our smsing started.......

The Kerala Trip

21st Dec 2008

Reached Madurai at 6 am, the cab was already there waiting for us at station. The trip has begun. We took the car and left immediately for Munnar. Reached hotel in there at around 10, ours was a nice room facing hills full of green tea leaves.

22nd – 24th Dec 2008

Roamed around in Munnar and Thekkady during the day, had a night jungle safari and then 24 hours in the house boat in Alleppey to relax ourselves from exertion we had during last three tiring days.

Trip to South begins…

Trip to South begins…

Landed in B’lore in the morning and there at airport Binnu and Montu were waiting for me. Montu also came on same day, landed only half an hour earlier before I did. From there we moved to Montu’s place, rested for a while, get ready and then stepped out to explore the Bangalore.

In the evening Binnu had to attend some office friend’s wedding, so I and Montu stepped out of the home to explore the vicinity (in particular nearby malls and to have dinner) on our own.

It was a nice mall, but not different from what’s there in NCR or in Mumbai. The only difference is in the food court where you’ll find restaurants of local items. Meanwhile it was a nice mall, we passed some time there and had dinner and return back to the home.

Binnu returned early morning on next day. Today, in the evening we will be leaving for Kerala. Meanwhile we left his home around 11 to visit a couple of places in B’lore. We went to Science Museum it was amazing, we didn’t realized how our day passed. In the evening we were back took our luggage and went to railway station to catch the train to Madurai.

Let the trip begin.

Trip is planned

19th Nov 2008

Destination for the trip is final and we are now planning to go to Kerala, it’s a week-long Kerala trip this time. Negotiation with various travel agents is on and everything is very much final. As of now we will be flying after exactly a month i.e. 19th Dec to B’lore where we will be meeting at one of my friend’s place and then after spending some time in Bangalore, we will be leaving for Kerala. Although there are some more plans in making let’s see how things turn around, let’s just hope for the best.

Meanwhile her exams will be starting from tomorrow and with that our late night calls will become even less frequent almost zero or few minute calls. Lets hope that she is well prepared and her exams went off pretty well.

Planning for a trip

5th Nov 2008

Planning for the long trip with friends during Christmas/New Year time, let’s see how it will materialize. A couple of destinations are in discussion let’s see what destination we end up finalizing. This trip is happening after a long time and it is surely going to be a big one.

On the other hand Sia’s exams will be starting in the last week of the month. So she is getting busy in her studies and final year project and resulting in less number of late night calls.

Few Days after Diwali

5th Nov 2008

Three days after I’ve sent a sorry mail asking her to forget everything, finally she was ready to talk to me. Here is the first step to bring everything to normal, after the gap of almost a week.

The fight is over now, after an hour long discussion finally she accepted that my intention was not to hurt her but she didn’t accept the fact that it was a general comment and not pointing to her. I hope one day she will understand that it was just a general comment and not pointing to her or her family.

Worst diwali of my life so far

Diwali 2008 (28th Oct)
The worst diwali of my life so far

I’ve commented on something (that I don’t remember exactly but it was a general comment related to having dinner outside). It didn’t go well with her and she pissed off at me. Although she showed some anger but I was in fun mood so I thought that she was showing a fake anger. I didn’t realize that she was serious and for some time I just made fun of her and unknowingly ended up hurting her :( I teased her to such extent that she got irritated and stopped talking to me. I tried to contact her but to no avail. She was so irritated that she switched off her phone. After sending out numerous messages, calls and emails she didn’t respond then I pissed off. But then after realizing that this will make things even worse I just contain my anger and wait for her to calm down.
